Tuner's Garage

Hey everyone! So the reason that I made this page is because I recently joined an online forum that is dedicated to cars. I noticed that I only go on the 92-95 Civic Threads, but I want to help out more. I've been working on cars for almost a decade now, and I feel that my experiences would help the next generation of tuners greatly. I've realized that I tend to take people under my wing and truly enjoy helping people with their cars. Now, I'm not claiming to be some sort of Automotive Wikipedia, but I feel that I've had enough experience that I can still help in some way or another. So don't feel afraid to ask me a question. I don't know all too much about domestics seeing as I rarely work on them, but I can help find an answer if need be. Also, basic automotive questions are also welcome, like if you're wondering how to convert PS to HP or something like that. If I get enough of the same question, I will post a DIY or How-To or some sort of Article addressing the issue that people can just click and read.

The main reason I'm doing this is because some people will ask a basic question on forums, like what engine do I have or will this work, and rather than a genuine answer, they get a bunch of people telling them that what they want to do to their car is stupid (nicer words than what they people actually write) and that they shouldn't do it. But that doesn't address their question. I try not to judge. I feel that what a person decides to do with their car is an extension of their personality. I also believe that people shouldn't look down on people that ask simple questions that in their opinion should already know the answer. At one point, everyone was at that level. At one point, I didn't know the answer to the question and if I had known there were forums back when I started, I would be asking the same question. My point is, everyone needs a starting point, and when you're at that starting point, you'll need some help to get on your point. And this is what my goal is, to help people and steer them in the right direction rather than just telling them that the direction they are going is wrong.

Here's where to Contact Me:
tuner@teamexile.org

Please give me as much information as possible like:
Model Year
Make
Model
Trim Level
Body Type
Engine Code

An example would be for a 1995 Honda Civic Si 3-Door Hatchback
1995
Honda
Civic
Si
3-Door Hatchback
D16Z6

If you don't know some of this information, it's okay, but it would make it a lot easier if I knew.

Also, include anything you did just prior to the problem occurring. Like say, if you took out your engine and never put it back in, now you're car doesn't start. It would help me to know this information before I start on a rant about checking battery voltage or checking for spark and fuel when I could just tell you to put your engine back in your car. For any Honda Civic questions, I am also available at ClubCivic.com where my Username is 2NRSTV.
